Welcome to The Gray Commons

A neutral, open community for the gray peptide space.

We help people using GLP-1 medications and tirzepatide, along with individuals, vendors and researchers interested in this field, make sense of the gray peptide market.

The Gray Commons (TGC / TheGrayCommons) is an open online community focused on the gray market for GLP-1–related products, including tirzepatide and semaglutide, and other research peptides.

We want to do more than publish information. An independent, neutral place to find information—where you can ask your first question, work through a lab report, share data and learn from other people’s experience.

You’re not here for a sales pitch. We’d rather let the information speak for itself.

What is the gray market?

Here, “gray” generally refers to the market for research peptides and related products outside conventional medical care and regulated medicine supply channels.

When conventional healthcare doesn’t meet someone’s needs—whether because of cost, insurance coverage, supply or access—some people look for other options. Over time, a different market takes shape.

Here, you won’t find the familiar pharmaceutical brands or the assurance of FDA approval in the U.S. Nor is there a single body that can answer everyone’s questions:

  • Who can you trust?
  • Are the data authentic?
  • What’s actually in the product?
  • What do the test results mean?
  • How do vendors differ?

If you’ve tried to find a straight answer, this may feel familiar. There’s plenty of information. Finding the source is the harder part.We want to make those sources easier to find, compare and discuss.

Who we are

We’re not a vendor, and we don’t organize group buys.We aim to be a neutral source of information and a community for the gray peptide market.

Think of our role in this field as:

Consumer Reports + Community Knowledge Base

A description of our approach; we’re not affiliated with Consumer Reports.

People come here from different starting points:

👤 New to the gray market?

You may have only just heard of tirzepatide, semaglutide or other research peptides. You might be wondering:

  • What is GLP-1?
  • What are research peptides?
  • What is a certificate of analysis (COA)?
  • What does third-party testing actually tell you?
  • How do vendors differ?
  • What information should you look for?
  • Which claims need a closer look?

We want you to be able to start with the basics and find answers, one step at a time. You don’t need prior knowledge, and no question is too basic.

🧪 Already a vendor in this field?

Vendors, manufacturers and wholesalers are welcome too. You may be checking an upstream supplier, comparing batches or trying to explain a result to a customer. There’s room to ask those questions and openly share:

  • Product information
  • Batch data
  • Third-party testing
  • COAs
  • Manufacturing and quality information
  • Company background
  • Product history
  • Community feedback

We won’t label a vendor “good” or “bad” for the community based on its name, size or marketing. We’d rather bring the information into the open, so people can understand it, compare it and judge for themselves.

Transparency is an important step toward earning trust.

Why we’re here

The gray market isn’t short on products. What’s missing is a shared space that connects information, data, testing, experience and community feedback.

The market has grown quickly. Rules, standards and transparency haven’t fully kept pace. That leaves a lot of questions:

  • What do we know about product quality?
  • Are the test results genuine?
  • Is quality consistent across batches?
  • Is the vendor willing to have its products independently tested?
  • How should we interpret results from different labs?
  • Can one person’s experience tell us about an entire batch?
  • Can a vendor’s claims be independently verified?

No one can resolve all of these questions alone. That’s why we want to bring people together.

What we stand for

1.Build safety awareness

From reconstitution, dosing and storage to basic product identification and risk awareness, we aim to make complex information as clear and easy to understand as possible.

We’re not doctors, and this is not a medical service. Decisions about your health should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.

We believe that access to clear information is an important step in reducing risk.

2.🔍 Support independent testing and transparent data

We believe:Don’t take one person’s word for it. Look at the data.

Third-party lab testing, batch testing, random sampling and records kept over time can help the community see the market more objectively.

📊 Here’s the kind of connected record we want to build over time:

  • Vendor
  • Batch
  • Sample
  • Testing
  • Data
  • Community feedback

That gives us more to work with than “This vendor is great” or “This product is good.”

We want to ask:

  • Why?
  • What supports that claim?
  • Where are the data?
  • Are the results consistent over time?

3.Keep community oversight open

Community members can help by asking for sources, sharing complete reports and following up when something doesn’t add up.

A useful discussion gives people something they can check:Ask questions. Share the source. Give others room to respond.

  • Questions are welcome
  • Different views are welcome
  • Vendors are welcome to respond
  • Consumers are welcome to share firsthand experiences
  • Labs are welcome to contribute data

A newcomer’s question, a supplier’s records and a lab’s explanation can each add a missing piece.

The market we want to help build

One website won’t make the gray market perfect. Nor will it make every vendor the same.

Our goals are more practical:

  • Make information more transparent.
  • Make data more openly available.
  • Make testing more widespread.
  • Give consumers more evidence to judge by.
  • Give vendors a chance to demonstrate their quality.
  • Help the community follow up on unanswered questions.

Over time, we hope these efforts can reinforce one another:

  • Transparency
  • Testing
  • Data
  • Feedback
  • Improvement
  • Greater transparency

Each complete report, honest answer and useful correction gives the next person a better starting point. Over time, that can help build a more transparent community, with clearer expectations for everyone.

The decision stays with you

This matters deeply to us at The Gray Commons.

We won’t tell you, “This vendor is definitely good,” or “This product is definitely right for you.”

Our aim is to put as much relevant information as possible in front of you. Then:You make your own judgment.

As a consumer, you can explore different products, vendors, test results and community experiences.

As a vendor, you can share your products, testing and quality information so the community has a chance to understand your work.

We believe a healthy market makes room for questions, rather than trying to eliminate them.

🤝 Let’s build a more accountable market

The gray market already exists.

The question isn’t, “Should it exist?” It’s:“Since it’s already here, can we make it more transparent and more accountable?”

We believe we can. But no website can do this alone. It takes consumers, vendors, testing labs, researchers and community members working together.

  • Some share data.
  • Some carry out testing.
  • Some ask questions.
  • Some share experience.
  • Some point out errors.
  • Some improve standards.

Over time, these separate pieces of information begin to connect. That’s how a community creates real value.

Welcome to The Gray Commons

Whether you’re:

  • Hearing about the gray market for the first time,
  • A researcher looking for more information,
  • A consumer trying to understand the market,
  • A vendor ready to share product information and test data,
  • Or simply curious about this emerging field—

There’s a place for you here. You don’t need all the answers to join. Just a willingness to:

  • Learn
  • Ask
  • Share
  • Verify
  • Stay open

We can’t promise a perfect gray market. But together with the community, we hope to build one that is:More transparent. More open. Better informed by data. More willing to answer questions.

Because we believe:

Information should be open.
Data should be transparent.
Questions should be welcome.
And trust should be earned.

Welcome to The Gray Commons

Let’s build it together.
